HealthCoach Diabetes Prevention Program

Did You Know?

Between 1980 and 2020, the number of people living with diabetes across the world nearly quadrupled from about 108 million to 422 million. As many as 90% of these individuals have Type II Diabetes.

The fight against this chronic disease persists, with new research explaining not only what triggers Type II Diabetes, but also how to prevent, manage and possible even reverse it.

Restorative Sleep

Positive Mindset

Medical and pharmacological interventions have done little to control Type II Diabetes. However, reliable medical research suggests that lifestyle intervention and behavioral strategies may succeed in the management, prevention and possible reversal of Type II Diabetes.

HealthCoach delivers an evidence-based lifestyle wellness program for improving diet, physical activity, restorative sleep and positive mindset, an approach that safely mitigates Type II Diabetes and other chronic metabolic diseases. Our program facilitates, and sustains improvements in blood pressure, cardiovascular lipid markers, insulin resistance, and total body weight [BMI].

Understanding the Paradox of Insulin Resistance

Insulin, an essential hormone resistance has proven to be one of the biggest problems in treating patients with Type II Diabetes. Insulin is an essential hormone produced by the body. It affects many aspects of your health such as metabolism, weight gain, aging and brain wellness.

Insulin also enables the transfer of glucose present in the blood into your cells. This provides cells with the energy they need to operate. Insulin resistance is a phenomenon where the glucose in your blood is unable to enter cells in spite of normal or high levels of insulin present.

Unhealthy eating habits, unbalanced diets, lack of physical activity, sleep and stress, can affect the performance of insulin and cause an increase in glucose levels.

The excess glucose ends up getting stored as fat which leads to weight gain, pre-diabetes, Type II Diabetes, heart disease, hypertension and is a risk factor for cognitive loss. People with insulin resistance are also more prone to stress, anxiety, food cravings, fatigue, brain fog and insomnia.

That's Where We Come In!

Although there’s no cure for Type II diabetes, it is possible to reverse its affects though lifestyle dietary changes, increase physical activities, weight loss management, restorative sleep strategies, and through developing a positive mindset, you will be able to maintain normal blood sugar levels without medications, under a physician’s supervision.

How Does It Work?

The HealthCoach Diabetes Prevention Program is based on 4 simple pathways – diet, physical activity, a restorative sleep plan and proven strategies to improve positive mindset to improve brain wellness.

HealthCoach employ’s complementary strategies to improve health outcomes – including organic whole foods, intermittent fasting, daily physical activity, a sustain sleep plan, and techniques to improve happiness – to help clients manage and potentially  reverse insulin resistance. The long-term use of these techniques has been proven to reduce your reliance on medications.

HealthCoach protocols are designed to help with weight loss, improve metabolism, strengthen the immune system, lower blood sugar, manage blood pressure, reduce insulin resistance, and create a healthier microbiome which reduces inflammation, addressing a wide range of potential health issues.

HealthCoach also provides meal plans for the entire family and great healthy lunch plans for children.

The Inspiration Behind HealthCoach Meal Plans

HealthCoach uses data from anthropological studies, blue zones, the Mediterranean diet and other clinical nutrition studies to design pathways to guide, empower and drive lifestyle change to improve manmade syndromes – arthritis, heart disease, Type II diabetes, high blood pressure, obesity and diseases of the mind – by emphasizing a return to a more ancient pre-Neolithic organic diet, and a more physically active lifestyle that enables our ancient genome to thrive.

Healthcoach measures and quantifies our program through the following biomarkers/biometrics, 1) total cholesterol, 2) triglycerides, 3) HDL/LDL ratio, 4) AIC, 5) weight/BMI/waist circumference risk, 6) blood pressure, 7) waist-to-hip ratio, 8) an increase in physical activity levels, tracking steps, with gate speed daily, (8k-10K steps daily, 6) sustained high-quality sleep, (7-8 hours), and 8) positive mindset, (stress reduction, mindfulness, assessment, via happiness index).

These goals are feasible, safe, and effective for reducing the risk of chronic metabolic disease. They are achievable through a variety of modalities, including digital-based intervention and behavioral strategies using certified health & wellness coaching and medical oversight.
