Longevity

Thank you, Dr. Barry H. Greenberg, MD, for an outstanding San Diego Heart Failure Symposium and for your many years of dedicated work advancing the treatment of heart failure.

More than five million Americans?approximately 2% of the U.S. population?are living with heart failure, with an estimated 670,000 new cases diagnosed annually. Heart failure remains a leading cause of morbidity and mortality, with 80% of men and 70% of women under the age of 65 dying within eight years of diagnosis, and it is the number one cause of hospitalization among older adults in the United States.

I would also like to extend my sincere thanks to Dr. Uri Elkayam, MD, Dr. Tran, MD, and Dr. Taub, MD, for your insightful lectures at the La Jolla symposium and for your generous words of encouragement.

I would also like to acknowledge Brittany L. Wilson, who represents Anthogen, a remote cardiac rehabilitation program, and serves as a dedicated advocate for lifestyle-based wellness and cardiac care.
